SAA Minutes -- 10.10.07
Attendance: Coco, Nate, Ian, Jon H., Matt, Youdhi, Arturo

0. Before the meeting started, those of us who were sitting around decided to have a last-minute t-shirt design making session. Stick figures and ninja turtles galore.

1. Let the record show that Coco fixed the Constitution so that it reads "The SAA will not..." instead of "will" as well as other random typographical errors. So there.

2. Reminders: Poster designs for the SAA art show/sale are (were) due this Friday, Oct 12 so we can start sticking them around campus. Poster designs for CTE's show are (were) due Monday, Oct 15. For specifications, check out the huge email Coco sent out earlier this week.

3. The Henniker Review is now accepting cover designs if anyone is interested. Designs should be for both the front and back of the book, and the dimensions are 6 x 9 in. Email kswirko@nec.edu for more info.

4. We talked about having an open studio sometime soon, and since the SAA decided on painting, E-board decided to go with acrylic paint on bristol board as the medium. (We're working on a low budget, and this is the cheapest.) The club will provide paint, boards, and a limited amount of brushes for this event, which we decided will be Friday, Oct 19, at 6 pm in Fitch Barn. Treasurer Ian already got the PO done, so we should have the money to buy supplies by Wednesday, Oct 18. Everyone is encouraged to bring photos, things to make still lifes with, and/or anything else you would like to use to help you paint!

5. T-shirts: In the end, we had 13 great t-shirt designs to choose from and voted them down to four final designs. (We didn't have a quorum, meaning at least half the club present, in order to make a final decision. Please, come to meetings so things can get done!) Final voting on the shirt design and color will be at next week's meeting, Oct 17.
